Do not use the same cutting board or platter with other food items when preparing shrimp. Wash your hands, utensils, cutting boards and even the counters that contact any raw food with soap and warm water.
Cook shrimp while chilled and always to the proper degree of doneness. But watch out! Shrimp cooks quickly and overcooking can toughen the shrimp which definitely affects flavor. Broiling may take 4-5 minutes; Frying: 3 to 5 minutes; Boiling: 2½ to 4 minutes. And always refrigerate leftovers immediately!
